BLACK FRIDAY MADNESS MAKEUP TIPS (Stay chic in shopping wars!)

Black Friday in less than 24 hours!!!!  Are you still working on your shopping lists?

Now here’s the question:  How to stay chic and confident in the shopping warzone?

Eyes over here, hands digging over there… crowded, sweat, eyes blinking at all the sales and a friend sees you and say “HI”!!
Now you must be thinking, is my makeup still in place?
Or, you may even be saying to yourself “Damn! How could I bump into someone when I have no makeup on!

So here are my quick and simple tips to stay chic even in a Black Friday madness(es?)

1.    Easy on the foundation.  It’s not a date or a girl’s nite out – we all know it’s Black Friday crazy madness.  Stay with a tinted moisturizer or a mineral powder foundation for a flawless yet light weight look.
My pick?  Motives mineral pressed powder inIvory (US Link

2.    Easy on the eye shadow.  I would personally not have any eye shadow on on a day like this BUT if need be, stay with matte and neutral colours.

3.    A winged eye line.  A winged eye line gives us that lifted, chic and sexy look even without eye shadow.

4.    A neutral and soft blush.
My tip?  Pick a shade that matches your lip colour!  This is the most natural shade of blush for you!

5.    Lip stick!  Stay away from lip gloss so your hair won’t be sticking onto your lips while you’re busy shopping! *wink*
My pick?  Motives mineral lipstick inProdigy. (US Link) This colour compliments ANY skin tone!

Last but not least, never ever forget to go out with setting your makeup with a makeup setting spray!
My pick would be Motives 10 Years Younger (US Link) freezing makeup up to 10 hours!

Happy shopping everyone!
Buy more and stay SEXY!

Thank you!!!!!
Any questions or comments, let me know!!!!!
Also let me know what you wanna see next!!!!!

DOES MAKEUP EXPIRE? WHEN YOU SHOULD REPLACE YOUR COSMETICS

Ever wondered how long to keep your mascara, blush, or your favorite foundation for? Most expert have agreed that since cosmetics aren’t required to list an expiration date, the truth should be told about your makeup brushes, bacteria, and that pretty pink blush.
Most cosmetics contain some bacteria before you even purchase them. When you open up your makeup, airborne bacteria rush in. The person who handles the makeup normally adds bacteria directly to the makeup either through touching, wiping, or dipping into the products with unclean hands or brush. Most of your cosmetics shelf life can be extended if you use basic hygiene before use.
Remember to keep your hands, face, brushes, or any applications you may use clean as these can contain bacteria that will spread to your makeup. Instead of touching your makeup directly, try using a spoon or application to scoop the makeup out, or for foundation, try to pour a little into your palm. Also, another big not to do is share your makeup with others. The bacteria that others have on their hands or faces may be different than your own and when introduced could contaminate your own makeup.

When is the best time to toss your cosmetics and replace them?
Experts agree that mascara is the one cosmetic that should be replaced on a regular basis. The one thing about mascara is that it is the likeliest to cause infections – like pink eye. Mascara normally runs out in about two and a half months anyway, but experts say three months is when its time to replace. The reason mascara is perfect for storing bacteria is its tube like shape. When you take the wand out and put it back in, more air flows into the tube pushing bacteria in along with it.
Liquid Foundation is one of those products that can easily contain and keep bacteria alive. The best amount of time to keep your Liquid Foundation is between three and six months. After six months the preservatives have probably broken down leaving your product with a different smell or with a different texture than it had before.Powders of any sort, pressed or loose should be tossed out and replaced after a year of use. That includes eye shadows, blushes or just a regular finishing powder.
Lip Gloss, Lipsticks, Eye/Lip Pencils all need to be replaced after one year. Since you can sharpen your eye and lip pencils you can keep bacteria down – make sure to do this weekly. You can figure that you will need to replace once the products starts to dry and crumble.
Most products will let you know when to replace them by breaking, chipping, drying out, crumbling, or getting a strange odor. But if you are like the majority of women out there who buy their favorite lipstick and now it has been discontinued but still use the tube from three years ago, ladies its time to toss and replace.

10 make-up tips to keep in mind for Valentine's Day

Valentine's day is just around the corner!

It doesn't matter if you're spending the night with your girl friends or with that special someone, keep these 10 tips in mind and for sure you'll be the spot light for the whole night!

1.  Foundation Primer.
Apply foundation primer (USA Link) to even skin tone and help foundation to stay put all night long.

2.  Use concealer.
Apply concealer (USA Link)where required, especially under the eyes and side of the nose.
Apply concealer before applying foundation to keep the foundation light and flawless.

3.  One shade lighter concealer under the eyes.
Apply a lighter shade of concealer (USA Link)under the eyes.
Your eyes will pop and you will look fresh the whole night out!

4.  Focus on the lashes.
Apply coats of mascara to add volume to the lashes.
Follow with a separating and lengthening mascara (USA Link)to open up the eyes.

Stay with smudge-proof liners to avoid looking like a tired panda.

6.  Stay away from lip gloss.
Lip gloss is sexy but imagine kissing on sticky lips.  Guys do not like kissing lip gloss.
Stay with lip stick, or even try dabbing on lipstick (USA Link) with your finger for a lip stain effect.

7.  Highlight
Use a highlighting powder (USA Link) (or a face powder that is a shade lighter than your natural colour) and highlight the centre of the forehead, bridge of the nose, chin and underneath the eyes.
By highlighting, you can achieve that beautiful and defined look but still staying easy on the makeup.

8.  Fake eye lashes
If you are using fake eye lashes (USA Link), be sure to curl your lashes (USA Link)before applying the fake lashes and put a coat of mascara (USA Link)after application to combine your real lashes together with the fake lashes.

9.  Set your makeup with a makeup setting spray.
Set your makeup with a makeup setting spray (USA Link) to avoid touching up in front of your special someone on such a romantic night!

10.  Be confident!
Makeup accentuates your natural beauty.  Stay confident and you will glow!
